?

If those of you that have or are considering buying a OPX, is this a deal breaker?

Same here. Was going to buy one to try out as I already claimed an invite but will be passing as it would be a nice iPod replacement as there is little sense in using a smartphone without LTE.

I'm on AT&T so band 17 for me is a big deal.

Wait and see what OnePlus decides we don't need to use with the OnePlus Three. It may make sense for them to just come out and say that they just want to capture market share in China and India rather than keep putting out phones that are missing one thing or another.

Hype is always above common sense, especially for those who prefer looks and price to quality and functionality.

Verge specifically recommends not to buy it, and I read a couple of other negative reviews, which stress too many drawbacks: camera, processor, operating system's bugs, etc.

I'm still using the 2013 Moto X. An upgrad is long over due and I'm debating between an iPhone and an one plus phone. I want the phone to last long and have good design / build quality, not to mention the one plus phones have such compelling prices.

Remember OP2 reviews? It was almost the same, but now the hype is dead: too many compromises for an overhyped average device. I assure you that the same will happen to OPX, once users start experiencing major problems with its durability and contacting OP's so-called "customer service."

I found Pocketnow's review to be quite honest and not overly glowing. They concluded that the phone is indeed designed for people who value appearance more so than specs...

My OPO works great on B4 LTE in SE Michigan once I got an upgraded SIM card. Not sure this if this was posted recently, but the coverage area almost doubled in Michigan since last time I checked, all 700mhz.

I totally agree with Pocket now, OPX is definitely more focused on design. Not to say that it's lacking in power under the hood though.

At least he didin't do the CNET tradition of comparing every single feature to the iPhone, and then saying iPhone basically wins on points but the OPX is decent.

And what carrier do you have? If you have T-Mobile, it will be fine. Your phone doesn't support band 12 anyway. But if you are in ATT then you may want to skip the OPX because your phone supports band 17 while the OPX does not.
