    1. Have person send me a picture (my default messaging app is Android Messages)
    2. I do not get picture. Instead, I see the picture try to come load in but eventually says "Message expired or not available"

This did not happen until I upgraded to Android 10.

I have this same issue on my 6T with Verizon. Given the comments in Reddit it sounds like quite a few people have this same issue on Android 10.

Really unfortunate nobody seems to care about this issue.

Google blames OnePlus, and is closing bug reports about this, and OnePlus ignores the issue since the beta.

Well Google should be closing bug reports as this issue is clearly tied to the new OxygenOS update. I had the same version of nessages before and after the update and it worked before, so it must be OnePlus's handling of incoming MMS messages not meeting Google's standard for their app.

Just to chime in, I'm seeing this same issue with both the OnePlus and Google Messaging app.

Edit - I found a sort-of work-around on Reddit. If you install the Verizon Messages+ app, the group MMS works some of the time. It'd be nice to find out if this is Verizon, OnePlus or Google's problem.

MMS works fine with OnePlus Messages app as well. Are you saying you have gotten Google Messages to display MMS messages by simply installing the Verizon Messages+ app, but still using Google Messages as the default?

I've got Messages+ frozen with Titanium Backup, but I suppose I could give it a shot. Just hate that client more than the OnePlus Messages app.

No, I was installing a number of messaging apps to see what worked. Verizon's Messages+ worked for sending/receiving MMS and group SMS for a very short while, maybe an hour or two, then it started failing too. Google Messages hasn't worked since the A10 update at all.

I've tried all sorts of APN settings, clearing caches, etc, etc. Right now for me nothing works for receiving MMS or group SMS except the OnePlus app.

Same issue here. Thinking about switching back to a Pixel. I guess the OP 6T was nice while it lasted

So I can say that I am also having this issue. It is weird because I upgraded to 10.0.1 on Friday but didn't start having these issues until Saturday night. I have a 6t and on Verizon.

    I found a fix!

After getting no help from Google or OnePlus, I went back to Verizon and had them get me a brand new SIM card. I'm not sure what changed, the APN settings all look identical to my old one, but it fixed the issue. I can receive MMS on any apps now without any issues. (on 10.0.1 anyway)

Did you have any issues with Verizon giving you a new SIM card?

Absolutely none here. I said I had been having issues with my phone since the Android 10 OTA and there had been open bug tickets for about a month, and someone found yesterday that a new sim did the trick. In and out in less than 5 minutes.

I also went to Verizon and got a new SIM card and MMS messages started to work.

While getting a new sim card also fixed my one line, I don't think it was the actual sim card that was the issue. Getting a new sim card simply bypassed whatever was mucking up MMS in the first place. What ever the hang up was, when using the original sim card, it's now gone because you have a new sim card...Hopefully this isn't a gremlin lurking and shall cause the same to happen to the new sim card down the road when the next update is rolled out... That's just my engineering degree intuition....

I had the same experience on my 6T after updating to A10 on Tuesday. Switching to Verizon's Message+ app temporarily solves it, I'll try going to a Verizon store for a new SIM card this week.

I have been having the same issues and have the same question. I have no problem going to Verizon for a new sim card but don't want to have to pay for that. Did anyone have to pay? Also those that got the new sim, is it still working? I miss using Google messages and am currently using the stock text app.

I have the same issue. I'll try to stop and get a new sim but that's quite a pain. I updated my OS and never signed up for beta. It's ridiculous that Oneplus released this out of beta even though it seems like a common issue with the 6T. This is really making the company look worse in my eyes.
