I installed the C.44 update hoping all of the "No Service" issues of the initial release would have been fixed, but I still could not connect to the Verizon network. After 2 hours of chatting with an online rep at Visible (Verizon's MVMO) she concluded I need a new SIM. Has anyone done this and had the phone connect successfully? Doesn't seem like that would be the fix considering it was still pulling APN information and when I downgraded back to OxygenOS 11, I have a connection again.

No idea why they don't stay permanent on reboot. If you don't see any improvement after trying the suggestions given. Please send Bug reports and give Feedback on the issue back to the OnePlus OOS developers. So that they can investigate them.

And you can also contact OnePlus support directly to see if they have more information on your issue. Scroll down the page for Email, Phone contact and online Chat details.

Per the reddit thread linked, it's a communication error between OxygenOS 12 and Visible. They are working on it. I think I will hold off on the upgrade until both parties can find a solution which doesn't require me to manually set APNs and swap out a SIM on each reboot.

"still same after new sim but got this today from Visible

Yes, according to the information provided, the device is not loading the APN due to the new version of the Android 12, since we are not compatible 100% with that version, however we are working on it. I know that is not the answer you need, but would you be kind enough to keep using the service in that way until we can be compatible at 100% with this version in the OnePlus"

Is all this to say that the new update seems to work fine if you have service with actual Verizon?

Correct, Verizon works fine, LTE, 5G, VoLTE, SMS, MMS.

Correct, this is only happening to Visible customers.
