Wow, cant believe a simple nail scratch and a couple rounds of the same with tissues did the trick. Almost couldnt hear anything and now I am back to the loud factory quality - I even have to lower the volume now. Thanks yall for the tips!
Same problem here.
First time presented on Aug 2017. Disappeared on Set 2017 so i did not call the support.
Now appears again 5 days ago.
Isopropolic Alcohol and toothbrush worked fine.
put alcohol on the toothbrush and give a nice clear.
Then to dissolve and remove all the dust spray some isop. on the earplug itself and leave it for a while (even 30sec is ok), pass other 2-3 times with the brush, then clear al the alcohol away with a nice cloth.
Just to let you know how much dust was on it, before clear the grid was black, after it's "white" (silver) again.
Ok, felt the need to come back here since I had the same problem as everyone else. I tried cleaning the earpiece with alcohol. I did a hard reset even though I was pretty sure that wouldn't fix it.
I then contacted Oneplus on here and they said they would repair under the two year warranty. Not what some people will want to hear BUT the process was pretty painless. Oneplus picked it up from my house on a Tuesday, repaired it and had it back to me on Friday. That was a round trip from Ireland to the Czech Republic and back! Amazing!
Problem resolved, speaker really loud again! The notes that came back with phone said 'faulty speaker' on it. Absolutely delighted with their after sales service, could not have asked for more!
I have this problem since the last update 5.0.1
Easy and FREE FIX
I thought it was a hardware issue from an update. But dont worry this FIXED it for me 100%
If you get some blue tak (soft blue sticky putty here in england) and really push it down onto the speaker then pull off and clean residue it should pull out very fine dust blocking the speaker causing low volume issue. I did this 3 times and tried a call and it was very loud again. Maybe this is your issue? give it a try
Your problem is rectified..I am also getting same issue from last 7days tried factory reset also..but no use..please help
Low volume of ear piece speaker, kindly resolve the issue.
I am having big time sound issue during the calls voice is very much low . Cannot hear properly plea suggest how to solve this problem . This is only happened when I update the latest version on my phone.
I am amazed at how there has not been ONE post on this thread from OnePlus... ANY other company would have posted at least something... I have the same issue and will be trying to clean my ear piece tomorrow myself.
All focus on oneplus 6!
no solution for it everyone tried all solutions ...it's basically the Oreo update which is full of shit ..try going back for nougat update the best experience ever wid no bugs actually... most people are facing the low call volume problems but one plus are busy giving some shit solution n diverting people to other sides...
One plus should take step. We expect more as apple . They don't forget 5s also. N now oneplOn fprgfo OnePlus 3 which one is booster kick of brand going Dard with this .. hope for prevention or downgrade
Please learn proper grammar before posting. I now have a headache from trying to read this.
In my OnePlus 3T, the sound from call speaker was louder at the back than from the front. I cleaned the speaker grill with alcohol, an ear stick and a toothbrush. It helped, thanks guys! Good luck for others!
This has worked for me. Tried cleaning the grill with a sharp needle rubbing it over it and voila. Its good as new. Unfortunately OnePlus did not care to reply anywhere on the thread. But the community found the solution.
I have no idea!!! Just responding to enable me to post an issue
Software reflase by authorized workshop will help
