I purchased OP8 from John Lewis 13 August 2020 only because OP did not have one in stock
After a few weeks I noticed the notifications for emails etc were unreliable at giving audible alerts I contacted OP who checked all the settings over and over I don't know why because settings are either on or off I have yet to find one one for unreliable or might work sometimes
So after more contacts the usual hard reset recommended
As the notifications were unreliable I asked if a notification visual alert could be installed for missed emails etc then again after hard reset I was promised by OP customer support this issue would be resolved in next OTA update as you'll know this has not happened since this issue and further contact with OP the screen has started to freeze their recommendation yes hard reset
14 July was the last reply from OP yes hard reset again
I asked OP for a refund before August 2021 as John Lewis only give 30 days refund
I have not had reply to this after trying for 6 months
I am going to carphone warehouse today to see if they will p/x for a more reliable make

Your contract for purchase is with the retailer not the manufacturer. Under UK consumer laws the retailer, John Lewis, is responsible for faults developing within the first two years, go back and see them they have a legal obligation to sort your device out, not OnePlus whom you have NO contact with.

Even then, the e-mail issue he described is what I have experienced on 3 different brands with Gmail already... It's the app if you ask me.

It's just a plastic screen protector. They tend to go loose over time.

Really, do they tend to go loose?
I've never had one got loose or making bubbles since my first OPO in 2014. :)
And I neither peel it off nor replace it by glass.

As I say go back to the retailer who sold you a defective product, they have a legal obligation to sort it out, please don't let them wriggle out of sorting it for you.
