    Hi all,

Seen another thread where it is mentioned to clear data of the camera app, but this seems to not correct current issue. There is no OIS (optical image stabilization) on 30fps on any resolution, furthermore on 30fps also we got a zoom added (or crop) as opposed to the 60fps, which might indicate EIS (electronical image stabilization) enabled. Is this a bug or is intended behavior ? There is no way to opt for EIS or OIS (such as a switch) for any resolution in camera settings. There might be no EIS either on 30fps as videos come all shaky. Behavior tested with different camera versions such as: 3.2.106 (default for OOS 9.5.8 GM21BA) up to latest 3.4.19.

I know that this is different phone, but it may apply to both of them:

Try to check if the OIS is working, like on this video.

What do you mean? The video I posted is filmed by me and there is no stabilization, there is neither OIS or EIS.

EIS was working. It look worse because of the bad lighting conditions.

Possibly EIS, but why not OIS? It is not hw limitation, it is bad sw implementation...it is the first phone where I see this, Oneplus should try harder to get things right...OP7 Pro is a great phone...still with some glitches.

Already filled a bug, but no response back, I believe they respond back only to what they are perhaps interested in fixing...

They might also wait for another people to report the same issue (they won't fix bugs for one person, you know) or are not able to reproduce your issue (read: it's not a system bug, but the problem directly with your phone).

It is not an issue only with my device, there are multiple reports of this on the forums here. Also not sure how many would realise there is no OIS for 30fps resolutions. Issue is not like you said due to low light. OIS is a physical thing, the lens moves to counter your movement, It is not tied to resolution, framerate or anything else ;) but needs software for activating the function, and seems like Oneplus purposely deactivated for 30fps videos...hoping they get this fixed.

Just tested as in that video, I can see the camera lense moving on 60fps but not on 30fps, you do not have to move the phone too hard to notice the lense moving.
Also to move things further, tested same on the Google Camera port, and it has OIS enabled for 30fps and 60fps Videos on 1080p and 4k video (also no image crop for 30fps). That is how this should be implemented. It is puzzling how Oneplus does some things very good and some very bad ...
I'm still waiting also on some type of correction also for the ultrawide camera's lens chromatic aberration starting from middle to corners like in bellow picture:
