Hello forum, recently got my OPO, am really excited!
In my daily life I was using Galaxy S2,
And I have some questions about video recording!
Why there is limit 10 minutes for video recording?
With 4k I understand, some kind of buffer, and it can hold just in 4K DCI 4,10 min and in 4K UHD 4.31min.
But what is wrong with HD 1080p and 720p why camera stops after 10 minutes?
I know that in my Galaxy S2 limit was file size 4Gb and in 720p it was 47minutes, so it was pretty good! And in 1080p 38minutes of nonstop recording.
So why in OPO it stops at 10 minutes it just breaks my heart, because I am filming ling videos, and if I need to sync them with external audio, it is crazy! And really sad!
Here are parameters of videos: Video length, and size!
4K DCI – Length: 00:04:10 min, Size: 1,89GB
4K UHD – Length: 00:04:31 min, Size: 1,89GB
HD 1080p – Length: 00:10:00 min, Size: 1,41GB
HD 720p – Length: 00:10:00 min, Size: 0,98GB
SD 480p – Length: 00:10:00 min, Size: 0,15GB
So is there a way to overcome this limits? So video could be longer?
And maybe OPO/CyanogenMod could make it nonstop until memory is full, like in Video cameras, you film nonstop, and camera automatically breaks files in to 4GB peace’s, it would be wonderful.
Please let me know what do you think about recording times, could they be better?
