Visual voicemail issues, OnePlus 5T, T-Mobile

I'm on the Open 4 beta, on T-Mobile. Visual voicemail is working with 2 major problems. First, the delete function is not working. I hit the delete button and I see the message disappear, but then it comes back in about 5 seconds. The second issue is listening to messages. I hit the play button and I can hear the audio start, but the act of moving the phone to my ear seems to make the message stop (maybe accelerometer related?).

I assume that last part is related to the proximity sensor. Have you tried a cache wipe via recovery?

The T-Mobile visual voicemail app is garbage in my opinion. It's always given me issues as long as I can recall, regardless of my device.

In my case, I think what happens is that my ear pauses or stops the playback via physical contact with the app UI when I try to listen through the ear piece.

The screen does NOT turn off when bringing the phone to my face when using the app. That was my first hint what might be going on.

Hmm, my experience is different than yours. I've had some sporadic issues here and there, but through 2 or 3 different phones, the app has worked well for me. Also, to limit any confusion, the visual voicemail service that I'm using is part of the Google phone app; not something provided by T-Mobile.

Yep, we're talking about different apps and I didn't read your original post correctly.

    My fault!

Are you on an open-beta? The issue that I reported has been working better in the versions after open-beta-5.
