I used the battery monitor widget app on play store
Yes it definitely sounds like a problem and i would advise you to stop using it immediately. It's most likely a faulty charger.

I know, but in the settings of the app you can set the mA retrieval method, and I was wondering wich one you used.

GREAT info, thanks for sharing. You can also get that on (US) Amazon for $6.50, free two-day shipping if you're Prime. Just scored one.

I'm in India, I didn't find any of the cables mentioned in the forums available in India...
I tried ordering and using Bandridge BCL4902 2 Metres Micro USB Cable...
That didn't serve the purpose and it was slow...
I've returned it and now came across your post....
Fortunately, found a Blackberry International charger which is available in India..

    http://www.flipkart.com/blackberry-international-travel-charger/p/itmczap4zkyp3fjw

Will buy it and test it...If it is the same as the one you used, it will work...Thank you..
I know generally charging with original charger and cable makes the phone warm..
From your experience, Will there be any problem of overheating or any problem to the phone..?
And is the product same as the one you are using?

Yeah man, totally, cables are not a big deal unless they're cheap unknown brands, but buying something for amazon original, or Anker is ok...

My choice is always having a non-detachable charger for my room (where I need it extra long) and any other detachable cable for anything else that always goes with me, in this case the OPO is the second one, and for the first one I'm going for this baby: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OZMWUS/ref=gno_cart_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AWH9OQ2LSV12U

So if you're looking for another charger just worry about it being for an known brand (and off course genuine) and second the output of the adapter has to be 5V/1.8Amps at least if you want a similar charge as the one with the OPO cable!

My 1st OPO got quite warm/hot whilst charging (probably due to the wakelocks i had back then) but my 2nd OPO always stayed surprisingly cool even whilst charging (both with original charger and with the blackberry one). If it just gets a little warm then i wouldn't worry.

I think the charger in your link is different from the one i have, on mine the end is yellow and the cable length is 180cm whereas the one on your link is only 90cm. It also doesn't state what the output is so not sure how fast it would charge your OPO.

It's not so much the speed (it charges at around the same speed as the OPO stock charger anyway) it's the length of the cable on the charger that's important as i always found the stock OPO charger was too short.

I like my charger - has a definite click when I hook it up, but nice to know there are other longer options

Disappointed, its output ampere rating is 750mah only....Returning it ..

That's a shame, it's probably for phone's with smaller batteries.

The one i have is designed for the blackberry playbook (tablet) so that's probably why it outputs more. Try and look for one like the one in the link i put up
