Yes there are minor differences. This would have been to ensure a competitive price within the Indian market. If you compare the OP 9 Indian version to Global and US versions you will see that the 9 is currently cheaper at launch.

Can you use search next time before creating a post? This has been discussed before.

As mention in previous threads, this is to keep a competitive price in the Indian market, the 9 costs less than the 8T at introduction, even if main components it used are more expensive.

Above that the device in India costs a significant part less compared to the international models, in fact about 150 euro less compared to most of Europe! And we don't even have service centers, RCC or many other India exclusive features here.

Btw, what does samsung have to do with this?

Ok as I'm an Indian I'm very disappointed with oneplus because they are now playing with Indian coustomers
Ok oneplus 9 in India not sold with wireless charging but the international varient had 15W wireless charging.
Also Oneplus 9 support more 5G bands in international varient but in this only support two 5G bands .
And also most of the phones having Snapdragon 888 supports more 5G bands.
I think oneplus doesn't care about India now.
Oneplus 9 also doesn't support OIS whereas oneplus 9 R supports OIS.

    Hey guys,

I just want to know why the Indian variant of Oneplus 9 series supports only 2 bands of 5g, also i want to add few more issues of the indian variant of OP9 (the regular one, not the Pro) (missing 15W wireless charging, while the international variant supports 15W wireless charging).

Adding more 5G bands cost more... The India version is cheaper than the global version for a reason... 5G network isn't close to be ready in India yet, so don't see it as an issue that it only comes with two 5G bands.

    Hi
I have been a oneplus user right from the oneplus one days. Just wanted to know wether the India version of the OP9 has few features less than the international version of the one plus 9, like the India version has no wireless charging and only 2 bands of 5G.

I'm currently using the oneplus 9 pro.

    Thanks

Do you see missing wireless charging feature in Indian variant with the same POV. Moreover India is not having 5g this year it might have next year and what if someone wants to keep phone for next 3-4 years.
Please stop defending the brand for wrong reasons.

I don't defend anyone... I just look at this from another perspective. With the same specs as the global, the phones would have been 10K INR more expensive.... And even now people complain about the price. It's impossible to make all customers happy at the same time...

But missing wireless charging in India version of 9 is a mystery for me too.

Such a flaw did the OnePlus made? Striking with major drawback and comparison with Indian varients?

    1. Why there isn't a OIS is Oneplus 9 varient?
    2. No 15W wireless charger in Indian varient?
    3. Only 2 5G bands?! Really!

What happen to Oneplus? A huge comparison?
