Same battery, same cables, same hardware as regular 6T. What's different that prevents a regular 6T from charging at the Warp 30 watt speeds? If it is only a software designation, this will be hacked soon.

    no , it's not a software mechanism
as he wrote , ' they upgraded the components of the battery protection structure to allow for the larger current, and added an eight-layer protection board to the battery to provide more efficient cooling'

which obviously they could have achieved in regular 6t too, but they didn't , just to market this McLaren edition

It's the power brick I think
    It's more watts and amps

I am talking about the fact the 6T wasn't much of an upgrade over the 6 and this isn't much of an upgrade over 6T. This is already old technology. Qualcomm just released Snapdragon 855 with the X50 modem. An extra 2 GB ram won't do anything and if you check benchmarks that compare it to the 8 GB version, they are exactly the same. This phone is a marketing gimmick to get to next year's price point of $750 for the OnePlus 7. That makes the price increase more acceptable to people.

The company was started with the Moto Never Settle and now I think it was called for its price which is going to touch sky high and in conclusion we can mention that this company is on the way of Apple for pricing.

But the overall upgrade is meh. Not much of an upgrade when your big selling point is a power brick. With a case on, this phone looks and behaves like a regular 6T. Benchmarks for both variants are exactly the same.

If you have ever studied any of the history of OnePlus. Pete Lau and Carl Pei's idol was Steve Jobs. They are using a similar business to Apple, so it should be no surprise that they constantly raise their prices.

And on next OnePlus device I think we should expect best charging tech like 50w because then it will be called Standing on Your words (Never Settle) otherwise it can't be settled only by last moving with old tech.

In this short period of time even this warp technology is not compatible with oneplus 6t but why?? It raised a bit of trust issue with the company.

    Just my thought.
