Same problem here. Not dual Sim.

Waze is acting as if it's in the background and GPS is not running...

Does not happen on Google maps as many has stated.

We need to get the attention of Oneplus... Seems it's been dead quiet and rolled under the rug... Tempted to return phone if they don't fix it ASAP.

There are a lot of problems with Android Auto and Waze on 9.0.7.
I am talking to someone from OnePlus. They have asked for logs and I provided them.
Waiting to hear back from them.

I've had nothing but problems with Android auto (just the app, head unit doesn't support plug and play) since getting this phone. Tapping maps opens Google maps rather than just the tab, music minimizes the app, all kinds of funky stuff.

Same here. However it's not specific to OP6T. It always happens on both OP6T and OP3T (latest stable on both): if you are running Android Auto (either standalone or projected to car screen via AA integration) with Waze, if you get a call the navigation stops dead until you end the call. Then it might resume or not. Very bad, either way.

This doesn't happen if you just run Waze without Android Auto. I suspect there's a OxygenOS + Android Auto issue.

I am convinced that Android Auto is the issue. I have been using a Pixel 3 XL since October on my Chevy Volt with AA. As mentioned below, I too have had issues with AA's overall performance. Apps such as Waze and Spotify constantly freeze, and even Google Assistant when asked for directions. I suspect AA is just an overall buggy app regardless of your device. I recently switched over to the OP6T and noticed improvements such as speed when switching between apps on AA. Due to the imperfections from the Pixel 3XL and other problems users have reported on here, I truly believe AA is just not a good app for one's vehicle. At least in my Chevy Volt.

I've actually never noticed that on the OP. When I used my Pixel 3 XL, when receiving a phone call, I can easily answer and then press the navigation button to return back to the screen (Maps or Waze). I would still be connected with my caller. No issue here.

You can return to nav, yes, but it's 100% stuck and unusable until you hang up.

I have the problem where Android Auto won't run -it's a mangled pixelated mess on every screen - no matter what cable I use even the OP one - on the 6T it does not work for me - any update on this? It's your OS so you need to fix it OP I can do some pics if you like?

DIdn't happen with my Samsung S9+ and the same car - everything worked right down to the voice bits - but on OP6T nothing :(

Android Auto & Waze is working perfectly on my OP6T.
All the time with no drop outs at all.
Same with the connection to my car. I plug in the cable and Android Auto starts on my car screen. Also in this combination absolutly flawless...

    OP6T on stock OxygenOS 9.0.11

Waze doesn't work for me. Regardless if I'm using AA or not. It always disconnects me or it can't find me or its always just loading. Very annoying

Happens for me as well. If I receive an imcoming call, Waze stops updating. Hang up the call, Waze comes back and relocates. Google Maps does not have this issue. AA on Kenwood DDX9904s.

So the issue was with Waze. one of their latest betas addresses it and it's mentioned as one of the fixed. otherwise outside of not hearing WhatsApp notifications aa works perfect.

No matter AA or not, incoming or outgoing calls while using Waze, puts Waze "in none working" position, gps connection is lost until the end of the call. It seems like OP knows and aware of this BUG and its a BUG and not one to be ignored. OP does not even bother to involve itself, answer or fix the BUG. So OP, what do you say, do you think that is how a wants to be a flagship in 2019 should work with a simple activity that works with any cheap phone (OP6T)
