Weak vibration on OnePlus 7T

I had discovered that the vibration motor from OnePlus 7T was not strong enough. This caused me missed few calls and it was frustrating.

I hope the development team can increase the vibration level, no matter how loud the motor's noise.

Note: I had already changed the Settings and the vibration level is 'Strong'.

Unfortunate this won't happen on other devices, their vibration was strong enough.

I got a different type of issue with vibration, sometimes it doesn't vibrate for calls and notification and unfortunately we don't have a notification LED :(

The vibrations motor in the 7t is one of the best I have ever felt in an android phone (after pixel)

I also think that the vibration is weak. I would miss a lot of notifications if my smartwatch wouldn't vibrate. All vibration levels are set to strong.

Vibration is very week. I have not had to have a phone on ring since 2004. I've this phone for a few months and it's been a bit frustrating. I can't put it in a pocket and get a notification, and if it's not within eyesight on a hard surface I miss those calls as well. Possible to change or add vibration durations?

I didn't really have much stronger vibration motors in my previous phones either. while it's not particularly strong, at least it's very refined. no annoying clattering, and revs up almost instantly.

anyway, you can try settings here:

I don't think the vibration motor is weak. People already suggested a setup for the vibration motor anyway :(

Yes I agree that it is quite weak - particularly for app notifications, even on 'strong' mode. I noticed that it was certainly a lot weaker than my last phone, the oneplus 3t, and my wife's oneplus 6. Combined with the removal of the notification light it makes picking up new messages on, say WhatsApp for example, quite challenging. I suppose the only advantage is, is that it is quite subtle and doesn't rattle like mad.

I will not destroy one Plus stating it is always right, one Plus should improve and should always improve. Fanboyism, who is only 2% of entire userbase destroys a brand by always defending any kind of shortcomings and giving wrong feedback to the company. Remember Sony Xperia?

I too feel it is a weak vibration even when selected at strong and it should be improved or enhanced.

The vibrations in this phone definitely do suck. Weakest vibrating phone I ever had. It even causes my watch to be unnoticeable. And if I use a notification sound that I import, it will not vibrate at all.

It's obviously weak whether the intensity is set to weak or strong... Btw, I've compared with my old Galaxy S7, S8 and Iphone 8 phones just before posting... OnePlus 7T causes me miss so many calls and notifications... I wish there would be a way to fix it. 😟 Any suggestions?

I sent bug reports to Oneplus, they know it is a problem, and plan to address it in a future update, per tech support.

Guys, the vibration motor actually is not weak: It's a software issue. I did install fresh rom and it solved my problem. The vibration is far stronger. I'm on EU rom now; changed from Chinese. You can use Oxygen Updater to change your build. Cheers!
