Well guess it really depends on where they live to get 5G, some might get it by the end of the year (like me) others might wait 2-3 years while some might not get it for even longer

Where I live there is 5G already and in some other cities there has been for some months now. Honestly I am not interested at all about 5G on a phone so the whole topic is absurd for me. 5G has much more potential, on a phone is just a problem.
With 5G you can serve a whole house or even a whole building without any fiber or ADSL, you can control vehicles and robots from thousands of Km away without any latency...these are the real benefits of 5G, not draining much more battery on a phone that costs 1200$

Personally I would be perfectly fine with a phone with only the lower 5G band. I really hope they get a combination of 4G and 5G stable an reliable enough before they remove 3G in my country. Because if they don't I would fallback on 2G in some spots where only 3G works and that would truly suck.

That could be a problem even with 4G phones, it's not related with the phone but with the Country, the operator etc.
Before they remove 3G I hope that 4G will have a good coverage, 5G has a lower and more problematic coverage than 4G so with it the situation could get worse...

I am really looking forward to having a OnePlus 8 of some spec with 5G capability. I am with Three and they will provide 5G at no extra costs. 😀😀😀

Since the 8 Pro will cost around 1k it'd be a miracle, I think more about 750/800$. I don't know exactly the price in USD, I'm assuming a conversion from euro to USD.
At 600$ I think you'll be able to buy the Lite version.

I suspect you're right. I think there are going to lots of disappointed OP fans once the prices are announced. It's going to be a tough sell for OP especially in the current climate.

I'm not sure why so many people think the OnePlus 8 Pro will cost around 1k, Pete already said it won't be 1k so I'd say $760-$900. So the price for the standard OnePlus 8 should be $550-$680

No Pete himself said that a 5G top tier/flagship phone can't cost under 1k. Now if it isn't 1k but 950$ it's not a big differece, anyway it will cost a lot, it has a lot of features; if Mi 10 Pro costs 999€ and Xiaomi is barely earning something I don't think OP will sell the 8 Pro will cost less...

I really hope so, of course I don't earn anything if the price is higher but I am afraid it'll be...

Well 699$ is a fake result, of course everybody would like to have a beast of a phone for a couple dollars but 699 is impossible for sure. A reasonable person would vote for something like 800/850$, a rational price.
As far as I'm concerned I wouldn't pay even 500$ for a OnePlus at the moment...
I know it's just a survey and I'm trying to understand if it's just like I said at the beginning (everybody wants everything for free) or if there is a reason why people would only pay that much for the 8 Pro.
Anyway thanks for the link, it's interesting!
ps: I've red the full specs of both 8 and 8 Pro and the 8 in my opinion is a pretty big fail, I'm disappointed...
