What cost this damaged? Physical ? via OnePlus Nord N200 T-Mobile

I got my OnePlus 8t almost a year! But, still in warranty. In this month I find out something like watermarks in the screen. So I send my phone to repair. And inspector said it was physical damaged not going cover in warranty. Plz! Help me out! Screenshot didn't see any. But just on

The top part and bottom part you marked is burn in like @Caomhin already said. The problem why they say is the part I marked yellow. It seems like here the screen is cracked which won’t be covered by warranty. This part is the reason the rejected your warranty claim is my best guess.

Looks like yellow part is the cracked screen protector?

I don't know, difficult to say. @jinchen799, do you have a glass screen protector applied or is it maybe the preapplied protector?

Looking at the camera, it almost looks like there is a screen protector over a screen protector??😳

So if it’s just just protector that’s cracked, you might want to take it off and tell them there is no physical damage but screen burn in and try to get it resolved.

they might have thought the screen was cracked

So the service center refused to fix the phone under warranty because of the cracked screen protector or because of the screen burn in?

Sorry to hear, I heard people that got their screen replaced due to burn in but I guess that was leniency from the side of OnePlus.

maybe you should ask what they mean with screen damaged when you think it’s burn in. I wonder if they even checked it closely. Maybe send some pictures to them without the screen protector and ask them why they say it’s physical damage?

Did they specify the damage, I would like to know what they exactly call physical damage? You should just try to stay persistent and get the exact information why they think “where is what”. Let them show you the physical damage, because if you take of the screen protector and there I no crack, I wouldn’t know what they mean tbh.

I did ask what caused it and what physical damaged. But, they didn't want talking about it. keep skip my question and said that's physical damaged got to paid. I tell their I was got same issue when I send my 5t to fix no charged. but, they just don't give any extra info. I didn't drop my phone in water, I didn't crack my screen. I put all protection on it. Sign, service center keep said that's physical.

Personally I can’t help you, nor am I really familiar with the warranty on burned in screens but like I said, OnePlus has changed them before under warranty as stated by you. Another thing I find weird is they refuse to tell you what exactly the meant with physical damage, something I think they should. For now, all I can ask is a mod to try to help you get you case escalated.

@keithnyc , any chance you could be of any assistance?
