So I've just jumped back onto OnePlus after a long hiatus, and just wanted to check what custom ROMs is everyone running and get some recommendations.

I'm generally happy with everything stick, but I'd get that itch to root and fiddle more soon enough!

Yeah been lurking around and was quite surprised how sparse development is. So far by what I've seen I'm waiting on Paranoid Android to start supporting the 7T. :)

    For sure!

I just love tinkering Everytime I get back to Android :), was just hoping for the 3rd part dev support that was as expansive as it was, when I had with my old S8 years ago. Like I had fun trying different kernels with ROMs to get the best battery life out if it.

This is very disappointing. I was sure there'd be a huge development community. I imagine TWRP still isn't in the best shape?

So far ditto but it's always nice to have reliable & stable alternatives.

Was so sad when I learned about 7 series and upcoming devices by OnePlus will all be like this. Because of the new partitions.

Missing a fully working TWRP. [e]1f61e[/e]

    Missed trying out kernels. 😩

Missed trying out custom roms. [e]1f62d[/e]

Missing lots of mods, tweaks, and modules. 😵
I know that there are other ways of rooting and trying some out. It's just that because of the difference on how to execute them made it way less enjoyable to do. Unlike how we do it in the 5 series.

Damn I miss the Nexus days where all of these stuff are so easy to do.

tell me about it, some of the most fun I had was when I rooted and flashed mods on my OPO. even later with the Samsung S8 things was hella easy.

I already bricked my 7T twice thinking it was the same method of flashing and booting into recovery. sigh I think at max I'll probably just root and install what small mods I can.

side note that unlocked bootloader message on restart is also an eyesore -.-
