Now we're waiting for the OP3 to get a discount. [e]1f601[/e] And that would be the real deal.

I'm wondering what's the Wi-Fi specs? Not talking the basic "Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac" but maximum connection rates and whether it's a 1x1 antenna or if it has more.

Different phones makes sense, but an undated version months after a release? Common, really?

@hgoor The sd821 is no camera though.
I think the camera sensor also needs to support these features. your quote specifically states that the sd 821 supports two phase detectors. As far as I know the used sensor does not support this feature and uses single phase detection. the galaxy s7 sensor uses a dual phase detection system. So this will not bring any improvements. I am pretty sure OnePlus would've mentioned this in their video. Don't you think?

It has EIS 2.0... Made possible by the 821... So there is your answer why it DOES matter..

Dual stabilization technologies in the OnePlus 3T make blurriness a problem of the past. New EIS 2.0 technology cancels out unwanted movements in your videos. 4K photos and videos taken by your rear camera are also more stable, thanks to Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which compensates for jolts and shakes.

Yes I can see them.doing that. After all they released a 300 dollar book containing pictures of their products and are removing nearly all ports.

Same with gpu's xxx comes out several months later the xxxTI comes out for a slight increase. Not too many complainers there. It's the tech world it moves fast. As I said, you don't need the latest and greatest.

Your posts only show me that you are able to copy and paste. Well done bro. First it's focus speed, now it's stabilization?! EIS is a software feature probably based on the devices gyroscope. After checking both the 820 and 821 specsheets I can't find any possible difference which may have an effect on EIS. But I bet you can help me with this one...
Answer me this: why is 1080p crap compared to 4k stabilization on the OP3? Shouldn't 4k be more demanding on the processor?

    Bought op3 for £309 & 3T start at £399.

    That's a £90 increase!!!!!

So I'm not interested, apart from the sky-high price, my 3 is barely 4 months old is still fast, fluid, fun to use & the best phone I've owned.

My message to OnePlus is to show a commitment to your existing customers by providing timely software upgrades that DO fix bugs.

Failure to keep on top of that will result in your existing customers looking elsewhere for their next phone.

that 13% increase is huge for me. This is just a slight upgrade by the way, no game changer to be expected. I think they are targeting Google Pixel at these specs and price point. And the price increase is only $39 if you compare to the equivalent storage size OP3. I have been using the iphone 7 plus and miss stock Android. The Pixel XL disappointed me, while the S7/S7 Edge are boring. My only choice is OP3T pretty much. However if I was average user, S7 is better purchase at this point because you can easily get it brand new in box for $400 from Ebay power sellers and it comes with best smartphone screen, expendable storage, one of the best cameras, waterproof and all those cool things. I still am convinced that this revised version of the OP3 only targets those customers that were thinking to purchase the Google Pixel device. Nobody else.

For those who dont have the 3, and want a cheap, highly recommended brand, go for the 3T.

If you're like me, and want a phone like the Xiaomi Mi Mix, or the rumoured truly bezel-less Meizu Pro 7, I'd say wait another 3 months. There will be very interesting phones that are truly beze-less, so if you want a powerful phone with incredible screen-to-body ratios, just wait!!

I need a phone badly, but I'm gonna wait at least until January to make a decision. By then, the Meizu / Xiaomi phones will have made a considerable influence on upcoming models, and at that point we will probably see something similar from more dependable OEM's like Samsung, Sony, LG, Sharp etc.

I've always wanted a 5.7" phone that is all screen, making it like 2 full inches shorter than even the most compact phones, which would result in some incredible reachability. I dont care about the risk of dropping it, thats a responsibility I am more than willing to accept, and if you want bezels, wel there will most likely be a software implementation for "soft" bezels, since OLED screens turn black pixels off anyway!

Its the Finished version of the OP3. This was the flagship phone OP was planning to release all along. The OP3 was only a beta phone like the community software we've all foolishly been helping them to test..

I've heard that the production of oneplus 3 is going to stop and just make 3T's, I hope this is wrong as I want a 3 and don't want to pay the extra 90(ish CAD) for slight improvements
