What makes a smartphone worth buying its not the model, the design or its high-end specs but it's how you intend to use it. What I expect personally from a smartphone is its ability to fit into my needs.

I personally wouldn't spend a penny buying the SG5 just because it has some extra features.
But I believe so far that Oneplus One is worth buying.

If battery life is so important to so many people, why don't they just switch back to nokia 3310, where they could get a week of battery life pretty easily.

Great Display and Battery Life. Design is for me not that important, but the software is a big dealer for me and of course the work between hardware and software should be fine :)
Support of the phone and update should also be done regular

OS, or better the skin over Android: I'd never get touchwiz without an amazing deal, but an xperia or sense would be fine.
The best of course is always vanilla android, an cyanogenmod 11s is even better

oddly enough but the first is the presence of 4g communication, then the screen 5.5 inches optimal size, then the sound of both external and internal, still would like to support the memory card 128 GB, then it would be absolutely ideal, and well the battery to keep approximately 2 days almost all have one plus one.

Battery life and performance for me definitely, but there has to be that 'something' which makes it stand out as a clever smart phone, that function or design which should always have been there, but no one has got right. The opo looks promising for that. Also oem kickstands, I'm a sucker for kickstands.

For me it's to have the best of the moment, with famous brands like Samsung, LG or HTC.

But now with OnePlus, it will be so different...
