It's not a specific folder. It's the cumulative storage space consumed by anything that's not in your apps, music, pictures, video, or app-cache.

For me, it's mostly the contents of my "downloads" folder.

    Mine is 5.28gb.
I think "others" include documents, logs, zip files, image thumbnails...

This are the threads about the folder "other", bu no one can answer how to find and delete the files again.
I have cleared all known folders (downloads, images, videos, cache, cache in recovery mode, ....), but others is still 3.9GB...?!? On 6. March it was only 10MB.
I have 4.1.0 and all stock (no root).
I think it can be done only with root. Right???

    Hello everyone.
I'm new here. I just bought my 3T few days ago and didn't set it up until now to update OOS 4.1.
I used VPN connection to get the update from Germany.
after update I did factory reset also I did 3 wipe from recovery.
now it seems my 128gb 3T has 6.63gb used by "others".
I couldn't find those files in file manager nor in any other place. everything is empty.
how can I free up that 6.63gb used storage?

Hi, haven't seen any replies from OP admin saying it's a bug, let's wait & see, the only way I've found to gain Access to system file is by root & I'm not rooted.

I guess the same. something in root is eating up space. I don't want to root my device either.

After Updating to OOS 4.1.0, 3.6gb storage is used by others under storage in settings. I tried resetting the phone but all in vain. is that normal .?
