I'm paying 13 euro for 6 GB Data, 6 hours of calls and free texts. Really happy with my phone company, and the 3G coverage is nice.

Well I use 2 Carriers, on first I pay something around $7/mo for cell calls; second I'm using for internet, there I pay ~$4 for 40 GB on 42Mbit/s speed and if I exceed the limit of 40 GB it becomes unlimited on low speed. Well it's $11 max $12 /mo

£22.99 for unlimited texts and calls. 4GB 4G data. Got a cashback deal so works out more like £17 though over 12 months. EE are the only network in my area to have reliable 4G and once you've got 4G there's no going back ;)

$230 on Sprint... I know, I know. My contract is up in January. T-Mobile very soon. They will pay my ETF, but I'm not getting another phone until the iPhone is announced. Gives me some time to watch people with One's and see if Tim Cook will give me something good. I really only care about the camera.

$230 on Sprint for 0.04 download 0.68 upload... Know my pain. Been paying into 4G for years, still don't have it.

Just to remind our US fellows: Europe does not have to pay incomming calls on the mobiles (the caller in turn is in deed charged a much higher per-minute rate when calling me on my mobile as compared to land line). And on the other side unlimited call stuff does not work as good - if you call another GSM operator the higher charges do apply and make that a 30 euro or more plan. But if you are for an on-net (ie. same carrier) unlimited voice rate you can have it as cheap as 4 euro in germany.
I do have 500mb (with hsdpa 7.2mb/sec high speed, then unlimited but only 64 kbit/sec) and 9 ct/min for voice and text. Its makes about 12 Euro a month I pay, I have low voice and text volume though.

To make it simple, you question: what do you pay per month is only half way meaningfull, one should ask and what do you get for it (ie. how many minutes did you talk, haw many mb did you surf).

In europe, esp. germany, there are a milloin and one plans available, like the common data plan which includes a few hundered mbytes up to 5 gb with high speed (7mb/sec and up, but again: not for all plans, some are limited to 3.6mb/sec, some go up to 150mb/sec LTE) and then you are switched to slow data bandwith (56k/bit, some are higher - depends an the calculation the provider did). And for voice it's even more complicated, like each and every carrier and even it's subbrand do charge differently between "networks". We have 4 networks (independent), 8 carriers (making 8 use the network-towers, but not the uplink of the 4 full carrires, they are called MVNO) and aprox 25 resellers which in turn have something close to 300 brand names ... all are calculating different, ie. expect the customer to behave different....

If you want to compare country by country you shuold look for the ARPU figures most larger carriers publish. That is average revenue per user (ie. SIM card) - it starts at ~10 euro in germany and goes upt to 40 euro in some eu countries like italy.

    -M

ps. and that is only half way true as my carrier does charge a quite high price for 500mb unrestricted full speed data - but they are very gracefull - even at tripple that amout I was not reduced in speed - that would only happen I if did that much data subseqently for several month. So I have a somewhat fair-use plan ;)

85 bucks a month on ATT. Unlimited LTE data, talk and text. Checking out Tmobiles plans to save a few bucks. I know they throttle you after you pass the alotted data limit, but how's living on 2g like??? going from lte to 2g must suck Lol.
