    that's definitely what it is but I still find I kind of surprising because OnePlus struck a deal with T-Mobile in the US

    Imo it's good that you are picky. It probably helps you find what will be better for you.

    As for the screen issues, I have not experienced any with my 6 or Nord. I know some people mention they have issues but not sure about it. For the screen burn, can't say why you experience it. It's opened too long (usually screen lock kicks in for me).

    The good thing about you being in the USA, there is a OnePlus repair place in the US. In Texas, I believe. So if you have issues with your phone, it could be sent there. I've dealt with customer support (but not for problems with the phone) and generally they were ok. My 6 has held up well for the past (almost) 3 years. It probably could last longer too. I think OnePlus has quality. I love how OOS is fast and smooth. The 9 series if it has the 888 and warp charge 65 or better with at least 120Hz and improved cameras appeals to me. But this is my opinion. And only based on what rumours are saying. I think it's worth waiting to have a look imo.
