What Purpose Does OnePlus Community (forums) Really Serve?

    I really like the OnePlus approaches these days,
    First promise something makes headlines on each website like,

    OnePlus going to give these updates to their 3 years old device no other OEM do this and blah blah..

    And then silently tell, not going to give anything to one website and no other websites make it as news.

    I seriously hate these False Advertisements,
    Dual Camera, Clearer Photos
    My foot.

    Just stick to what you have Speed...

    I raised this thread a little while ago as an example of the lack of CS support and shambolic lack of taking responsibility in sorting things out.

    It was an easy fix, he didn't get a gift he was promised when he bought the phone (in good faith).

    He raised it in the community, and the community tried to help. Even @dsmonteiro escalated the issue internally, not once but several times.

    The result has left a bitter taste in many peoples mouths, the buyer, the forum members who responded and tried to help, possibly even staff who spent valuable time chasing up CS in addition to their normal duties, and he ( the buyer) won't be recommending oneplus to anyone he meets.

    All that was needed was to send him a goody bag, if not of the buds, then some other gifts to compensate, by means of an apology, t shirts, water bottles, one plus penknives that you can get in Europe.

    @Amanda W. I know this is not really your issue, but as it was raised in your forums, can you please use it internally as an example of

    1. Why, no matter how much is spent on branding and sales gimmicks, if the company can't deliver, they lose the customer they spent time and money hooking in. He was happy with oneplus before this incident. Now, he is no longer an ambivalent individual, but a bitter ex user.

    2. The fact that many forum members help out for nothing, and are happy to, but oneplus is not recognising and utilising this asset to the best of their ability. Senior forum members could have forwarded to your CS forum specialist if we knew who they were.

    3. On a personal note, can something be sent to this guy as compensation from the forum team. I know that strictly its not within your budget, but its a quick way of appeasing him.

    There are many things forum members can help with, and want to, but this trend of moving to silly threads from the writers club and accessories reviews is damaging the credibility of the forum as a serious place oneplus users can raise real topics and improve awareness of oneplus's ability to listen to users, and improve.

    This issue could have been easily fixed, and an article written about how the forum helps could have ended the situation in a win/ win note for everybody. An opportunity sadly missed!

    This is a very clever point of view!

    From one point of view, is a wrote from somebody that have dreams as everyone, but has your feet stuck on the ground.

    Someone that knows how to live well without been cheated by all the others.

    A critical person with a truly notion of the world around us.
