I really don't want to sound shallow or stupid or anything, but I chose it at first because of it's look and the fact that it was virtually unknown. At first it got my attention, but once I looked at the specs I was blown away. Especially when I looked at the price and compared it to the Nexus 5, Galaxy S5, and iPhone 6. And the price is phenomenal, at that price it beats the Nexus 5, since it's only 16GB and the One Sandstone black is 64GB. But now my only problem is that in Canada I have to pay for more taxes and duties :(. So I'll have to pay somewhere around +$400, but I'll still choose it over the Nexus :).

I loved the invite model, it's interesting to see if it'll work. Also, I like the customizability of cyanogenmod, I'm always disappointed at the customizability of straight android.

Price...and now sort of regretting it. You get what you pay for.

The bugs are growing annoying by the day!!!

It's a 'value-phone' without holding back on anything. It is balls to the wall specs/ build, etc. The nexus always feels just ever so slightly reserved. 2300 mAh... really? 8mp vs 13... It still competes with other phones and will usually be better in the long run due to the better update structure, but the OPO seems to be the best of both worlds. It's cheap, it's ballin as anything else when it was first available, and it runs almost-stock (compared to Samsung, LG, HTC) so fingers crossed for reasonable update pace.

Totally the specs - getting something that is better than the Iphone 6 and for less than half the price - it was a no brainer. Plus I knew someone who had bought one and they loved it..so it didn't take much convincing!!
