What to do with your old phone.

I have been playing around, trying to find a use for my old phones. One of the uses I have been playing around with is making a baby monitor out of my s3. There's many guides on doing this, and it seems like you can make it very sophisticated and complex security camera, but I also came across an app that is dead simple, easy to set up free to try and very inexpensive to use, this app is called Dormi. Have any of y'all used this app? If so what do you think of it? Also I am going to share a link to the app with a referral code and a discount. I have no connection to this app, I am just sharing my experience and trying to give a little discount if it works for you(and get myself a discount) I hope that this doesn't get classified as spam, if it does please feel free to remove this thread. Anyone who trys it I would like to hear your thoughts or if you have a nice simple alternative I would be interested in hearing about that too.

It's sound only, the best feature I have found is it's ability to discriminate between background noise and the baby, alot easier than those hacked together options or at least easier for me.

Honestly, a very effecient way of using your old phone is always to sell it. It is a system that can be used to have money forwarded to your next phone. It works for when you are ready to upgrade.

Typical eBay phone. Seller's description- mint condition with small crack on screen, barely noticeable!

I sold my old phone also. Why keeping it, which eventually becomes garbage, while it can still be useful for others?

Would normally sell, but it's a Verizon s3 with an unlocked boatloader, the power button is broken so I have to use a workaround to get it to power on, boot to recovery etc. It has a 7000 mah zerolemon battery, a stuck pixel on the screen etc etc. Because of the odd mix of desirable customizations and hacked together workarounds. I wouldn't want to pawn it off on someone else who wouldn't be able to handle it. Plus I really still am partial to the device because its unlocked it still can still be very useful there's still a pretty active developer community. :)

I am definitely not a mobile developer, but as a "power user" it's helpful to have a device I can test out others mods, tweaks etc on. :)

I am trying to justify it's continued existence not only to myself but to the wife and she wants a baby monitor atm since ours bit the dust lol.

Which one? I am using broken OS kitkat. Nice rom but especially since it's no longer a daily driver I would like to see if any of the lollipop distros are stable.
