lol SSHD is just a harddrive with SSD caching, it's not that big of a deal.

Home build pc with Windows 8 (i7 4770K, 16GB, Ati 5850, 250GB SSD). I think Win8 is fine, fast and pretty good! I also use Linux Mint on my laptop and I use a MacPro 2013 and a MacBook Pro 2013. Most of al I love Windows 8 and Linux Mint.

Totally get 1 Harddrive and SSD, one SSD for your OS and some essential programs and the harddrive for mass storage such as games and large programs.

but why? Why would you want just caching when I could store my OS on a SSD and get much faster times than a SSHD. It's silly. It's good if you want a fast harddrive, not as a replacement to an SSD.

I build my own (one for the front room and one for study). Found it easier to build the same machine for both as when I upgrade one I upgrade the other and sell off the old parts. This is the first time I did not include a discrete video card as there are no more hard core gamers in the house so Intel's latest integrated graphics are more than enough to do everything else:

    OS Windows 7 HP (64-bit)
    Case Silverstone TJ08B-E
    PSU Seasonic X-650KM3
    Monitor AOC i2757FH
    Mobo ASRock H87M Pro4 (mATX)
    CPU Intel Core i5-4670K
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12S(w/ Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm)
    Memory Corsair Vengeance 8GB
    #1 OS/Pro. Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
    #2 DATA WD Caviar Blue 640GB (WD6400AAKS)
    #3 TV Seagate 7200.12 1TB
#4 Backup WD Caviar Green 1TB
    Video Card Integrated
    TV Tuner Hauppauge HVR-2250
    DVD + R Samsung SH224DB/BEBE 24x

Custom made windows 7 based machine, and a 2012 macbook pro. I am comfortable saying that Windows is far superior. I also have a computer I built back in 2007 running linux mint that I like to mess around on.

I want it for fast gaming, so I would place the game on the SSD, but if its not a remarkable difference I would go for the SSHD.
