To be honest, it was heartbreaking to open it. The packaging is so, that you just want to sit and look at it just as it is. But when you DO open it and see the beautiful jewel inside...it is SO rewarding. A magnificently thin, light, sexy, beautiful specimen of a phone.

I have owned a lot of phones since the early 1990s. The vast majority of them were company phones, or phones I bought at the service providers store, so no "unboxing" experience with them. My 1st 2 "unlocked phones were a Nokia N95 and and a LG Optimus. Nothing special there. Having watched a few unboxing videos of the OPO, it was still pretty cool to do it yourself. The attention to detail and "the experience mindset" was obviously given a lot of thought. Don't think I have seen high end packing compared to that since some expensive audio equipment I had bought over a decade ago.

Not really, it's a well built phone. You'll only need a case if you're prone to dropping your phone.

The packaging is very nice, the main box it comes in is textured with a Matt costing and overall the packing looked pretty slick.
