What will happen to Oneplus in the future?

As you know Oneplus is selling it's products for a low price and is using the invite system to get itself a well recognized name. My worry is about what will happen to Oneplus in the future when they've got enough name and users. Will Oneplus start selling their products at the same price as other giants on the smartphone market like Samsung, Apple and Htc to start making profit, that they've lost in getting themselves known?

I actually think the other big brands are going to lower their prices as some of them already are.

Tbh, i don`t think oneplus will really make high prices soon.
I only hope, that they make it easier to get their products soon, as that would bring them much more puplicity.

There are different dangers: OP might once be filed for bankruptcy and/or bought by a competitor (or its mother OPPO). Both might bring a probability for "end of service" and "end of development".

What will happen eventually is that OP will gain notoriety, but all other manufacturers are doing the same as OP, that is making more powerful affordable devices. OP needs to straighten up their act with this invite debacle, slow OS updates, and no inventory, or they will be just another company trying to keep up while they are passed by!

I don't think thats gonna happen...they will have calculated their prices very carefully ;) and since it's working, that 4,907,132 people are waiting for a OPT they won't be filed for bankruptcy either...

I do agree that finacial resources are probably stable while selling one hit after another, however, you don't know about future problems of the OPT since it's a banana product (attains its full mature while already been sold e.g. by getting OTA updates) as many electronic gadgets are nowadays. The success of the next product (OP3?, smartwatch? etc.) will be responsible to guarantee the support for the OPT.

5 mio registries, on the other hand, don't mean 5 mio OPT to sell since many registrees won't buy at the end and many registered several times with different email addresses.

They are being recognised not for the phone( quality specs ect .)which I happen to think are very good but for this diabolical invite system which makes the other phone makers not in the least concerned about the company.

Oneplus needs to build a company. Because the demand is there, however they need happy customers

They'll probably raise the prices up a bit, but will still keep them substantially below the samsung-lg-htc prices. That's my opinion.
