am not sure of the root cause but I observed that after we deleting cached data immediately 'other' option is occupying the same storage which just released by freeing cache.
any1 can help me on this

Every image (and video file) deleted from the DCIM/Camera directory is not actually deleted but it is moved to /Android/data/com.oneplus.gallery/files/recyclebin. After 30 days files are deleted automatically, of course you can delete these files earlier, either manually or by opening the standard gallery app and going to deleted images. I guess this is the reason for you issue. BTW, there is an app in Google Play called DiskUsage from Ivan Volosyuk which can precisely show you what is occupying your storage.

Disclaimer: I own OnePlus 6, hope this apply to your device as well.

    Top notch!
This is exactly I did, after a bit of search on the internet.. Even though we delete the files from traditional gallery, the files are actually residing as a residual in that location.

I used SD Maid app and found the folder occupying the huge space.

    Here is the updated look..

Apps - Gallery - Collections and then on the bottom there is album called Recently deleted. The names can be a bit different because I don't know how it looks like in English Version of the OxygenOS. Or like I said, go to the dir and delete files manually.

The files in the recycle bin dir have names different than the ones originally stored in Camera directory. But if you restore pictures from the Gallery app directly the strange names become the original plus the picture will be exactly the same as it was before the deletion (I have checked this by checking hashes (checksums)).

i will give u one more idea u have to give a bit of effort obviously coz once this gets solved u will be relaxed forever go to file manager>>internal storage here you will find may folders one by one check the properties or size of each folder in a sequence you'll be able to find which folder is having large chunk of data in GBs believe it might be either oem_log folder or OnePlus folder..just do this much first
