Hell, some parts of north Wales barely get a mobile signal , imho something as important as this should be legislated and anyone bidding to provide 5G, should be required to provide a reliable signal to the whole of the UK first.

I think Vodafone claim to cover 99% of the UK population, with a signal ( not 4G, a basic signal) that's what 70-75% geographically. But hey I was a 4G holdout as well.

Again, not what I was talking about. I was stating that T-Mobile said that they would not raise prices and that they would have an unlimited plan for 5G.

As a mobile standard, and in terms of sheer speed 5G probably wont offer much for quite some time - unless the frequencies it is broadcast on are more robust/have better penetration/distance etc.

Where it will make a difference is with fixed device communication, and providing high speed internet access to places that VDSL/ADSL and Cable dont reach, cant reach, or are very expensive/slow

How are you going to get a mobile signal without electricity? I kid because I love, I had many a fun night in Sandycroft.

It going to take some time in the UK too, there will be no consideration from myself before 2021.

IMHO radiation is doing some kind of harm.

Faster mobile data is nice for data capture e.g. allways on audio and video recording and multi user audio video interaction in the augmented reality.

With display either on your arm or directly transfered into the brain. Extending every persons brain by AI supported by the massive data produced by all humans in the universe(s) and the quantum computers.

But I wish a friendly peacefully world for all humans. This would be much more important than fast mobile data.

5G is low power consumption, alternative to wired internet. Back in February of last year, at the MWC2017 exhibition in Barcelona, the first “5G generation smartphone” was officially presented, which will support the data exchange rate of more than 1 Gbit / s. It is considered to be the first in the world announced 5G-smartphone.
