    Hello,
I'm running the latest WhatsApp beta from the Google Play Store (I subscribed the programme today) and I am experiencing a serious bug since last Saturday, even with the old betas. The counter of the sent messages is continuously increasing even if I don't send anything and in some groups some friends with iPhone told me that in the list of conversations the group looks like it is in continuous refresh, it blinks continuously. I am running WhatsApp on my OnePlus 2 equipped with Android 5.1.1, without any modification or root access. Every basic solution didn't worked (reboot, update, clear cache, reinstall...). Can you help me solving this problem? Thanks in advance, best regards

The problem is with WhatsApp, not with the phone, you cannot blind the phone for everything

Infact I wrote to WhatsApp's assistance first, I know that the problem is with the application, but I asked also here hoping to find someone else with the issue... Maybe together we can find a solution.

It didn't worked. It was the first thing I have done. That's why I still use betas, I hope to get the issue fixed as soon as possible.

Which stable version did you installed?
You should have stick with stable version, delete/clear all chat from whatsapp and clear apps data....
Just out of curiosity, did you use 2 sim on your OP2? Using 2 sim can cause a lot of problem as official whatsapp only work with one sim....

I have a SIM for Internet connection and main number for call and SMS configured with WhatsApp. It worked perfectly (since when I bought my phone, in September) until last saturday, as I previously said the problem was present also with the stable version (but I don't remember the version number) and I tried to clear cache, reboot, reinstall and so on, but the problem is still here.

Clearing cache won't do you any good unless you clear all you chat database...that is why I said earlier to clear all chat and clear data on whatsapp...

Go to the same page where you opted in the beta program. There is a link to opt out, click it. Uninstall then install again. It should be stable release.

The problem was present also with the stable release from the Play Store. I think that is a bug related with my account and the server.

Maybe this can fix the issue but sure is not the best solution. Other ideas?

Only thing I can think of is backtrack on changes you have made since the time it was working correctly. Something must have triggered this apparently.

Only solution after that is backing all your stuff up and do a factory reset I'm afraid.
