Great question. Had to purchase mine online. Sick of only having the choice of Samsung or iPhone to get a flagship phone at ridiculous prices.

I believe there is an opportunity here in Australia for Oneplus.

I haven't purchased a OnePlus 7 yet, but purchased my OnePlus 6 from Catch of the Day.

Does anyone know if Warp Charge will still work if we have a US, EU or UK to AU power adaptor on top of the Warp Charge 30 power brick that's supplied so we can Warp Charge here?

Maybe someone with a 6T McLaren edition in AUS could weigh in?

Pretty big selling point, would be a shame to buy it from overseas and have it turn up only to not be supported.

It should do yeah. I live in Melbourne and bought my 6t through Kogan, it came with a simple adaptor which works fine and has done for 5 or 6 months now.

The 7pro I'm going to assume will be the same :)

FYI it came on sale via Kogan 2 days ago and had promptly sold out! But also interestingly it is more expensive than am S10+ which I was not expecting...

Oh beaut thanks mate! Was your power brick that came in box by any chance US, UK or EU? I've heard about the US brick possibly posing problems with Warp Charge as their power is 110v where ours is 240v. Kogan have also notified me that they can't guarantee where the product will originated from so for the best part of $1500 i find it a bit much if i then have to go out and by a power brick that will adapt to our travel adaptors just to charge it and use the warp charge feature.

Can anyone clarify whether or not another mobile brand has an Aussie power brick that is 30W and usb-c compatible? maybe Samsung?

I too was quite surprised by the price and am waiting to see if Catch will do it any cheaper if at all in the near future

Did you happen to buy the extended care plan through Kogan for your 6T McLaren? Funny enough they don't offer the extended care plan for the 12gb model, only the 6gb and 8gb :-/

I'm fairly certain mine came from China actually, the power pack itself is all written in Chinese which leads me to believe it is probably from there... I'm assuming they are in English for English speaking locations.

I've seen the 6gb grey one for as low as $870 on gearbest - I've never bought from them before so don't know anything about them. Personally I'd rather buy from Kogan because of the local warranty and the ability to take them to the ACC if something goes terribly wrong!

On eBay there are a plethora of sellers selling the 6gb for $1,000 and the 8gb for $1,100.

Nah no extended warranty, I bought the base model 6gb 6T

Another option would be find / get a Charger from India through somebody if possible. Supports 100-240V~50/60Hz.

Or just have your or someones Indian friend get you a OP7 / OP7 Pro from India.
    ~1000AUD starting or the Pro

So looks like I'll be going down the Kogan path albeit a tad more expensive the local extended warranty does give me piece of mind, will have to opt for the 8gb model as mentioned above. Nebula Blue being the obvious choice and let's face it I won't be using more than about 5-6gb at any one time anyway xD

Hopes are that it does come with either an EU or UK charger in box to get that warp charge going without an issues, however if it does come with a US power brick i'll source a new brick online and may look into the warp charge 30 car charger pack whilst i'm shopping on ebay anyway.

Looking forward to moving back to Android after almost two years of Apple hell but glad to be venturing out into a phone make we don't get here and have never used before.

Once again if anyone has a 6T McLaren or knows of anyone with one using Warp Charge 30 in aus that could weigh in that would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone have any idea if the Super VOOC power brick from Oppo will work on the 6T McLaren and 7 Pro? this may be the only way to get Aussie power bricks that will enable Warp Charge without an adaptor
