Its quite simple imo...People whine because Oneplus doesn't stick to their word. Bullshit after bullshit about being a different company, promises about updates, bugs not being fixed. Of course people will whine. Yes, custom roms are a possibility, but as you know well, there are also always issues with custom roms (just searching rom threads on xda is enough). Its getting better, but still not as good as it could be. Just look at the latest version of paranoid (my favourite rom btw), it still has some annoying bugs (like the "stuck on 100% battery bug"). So, its quite normal for me that people whine about oneplus not delivering like it should. Simple as that...

Then why did you buy it at the time? You knew it wasn't for the average consumer

Haaaa? It was sold as a mobile phone, not as an experimental crowdfunding project so we can expect it to do the job as a phone properly out of the box.

I get that. The crowd funding was to try and build the perfect smart phone... But any dev will tell OnePlus went to shit after the Cyanogon crap. Ever since then that has been the thorn in their side. Why do you think Carl ran Exodus at one point?

I'm not. Never did see a doctor or anything because I never had the time. I just fought it myself. No where near as bad as it was though with suicidal thoughts and stuff

It was an inspired partnership and the OPO made a meaningful impact on the industry. I don't say that lighly because iit did prove that the consumer could have high end specs without forking over $600+, more if you wanted a rooted device.

Regarding the forum, well from my perspective iit was once a tight knit community of people that owned a phone made by a new player in the industry. As the company became more mainstream so did the forum. There is a certain inevitably to that imo.

When they finally release a full version it will be worse:D

As for make the forum great again, the best day were the yellow band days that's was fun. People being banded, warned, threads, posts being deleted left right and center, @Aaahh with the screen filter, etc.
It got a little heated at times when peeps went over the top as they do, but individuals were big enough to hold their hands up and make peace Members and Mods alike:)
