This phone was obviously targeted for India. No NFC and dual sim... Do the math. Who in the US uses dual sim?

I think more US customers would also be like alright if you don't let me buy your product, then shove it I will buy elsewhere. Also keep in mind US is just now barely starting to do no contract will cellular carriers. For a long time people always just got new phones for free every 2 years with contracts.

I agree a lot of indian fans are receiving invites well over forum count 600k+. It just isn't fair for us early supporters who were here pushing the company throughout their existence.

Also US market is pretty much iPhone and then nothing! After that Samsung might risk peeking around the corner. ;)

Just think about it! It was 1.5 million OPOs distributed among:
    1.3 billion Chinese
    1 billion Indians
    800 million Europeans
    330 million US-Americans
and keep in mind, India was later added as the OPO was not available for purchase from the release!
Now you do the math! ;)

They're focusing on their Asian market. Selling out to the Chinese and the Indians as much as they can, for some reason, and temporarily ignoring the western world. Let's hope that doesn't mean something is wrong with the phones!

Look..Even if they sell some crap in the Indian market, Indian customers can't do SHIT.. They don't have good RETURN policies etc in India.. Also the consumer rules aren't strict..

Superior? I think not. But you are forgetting that the reason you see a lot of support around these forums and other medias is because the Indian Market loves reasonably inexpensive mobiles. So of course they will have a voice in forums, the same way the middle class and upper classes might have a bigger voice in Apple Forums.

To be fair, India is a large (and important) market for OnePlus and India did get bumped for the OnePlus One launch too.

Makes sense to supply your key markets first.

Invites should be delivered no matter the country it's going to. According to 'The Algorithm' and common marketing strategies I honestly don't think/hope they are getting more invites than US/EU customers - that would only result in an unnecessary bad international image.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. They may be selling to that market to milk it for all it is worth with a poor quality device, as opposed to selling to the west where they would face returns, customer complaints, etc. and strict rules about customers receiving functioning devices.
So I'm hoping the massive sales to China and India are not a bad sign!

The difference is that in Europe and the US 99% of the people can afford to buy such a phone, but in India that percentage is much, much much lower.
And noone can call me racist, I'm a American Semi Indian living in Germany so I got all covered

Exactly, US and EU create the global hype and OP supply their largest markets first (Asia and India).
