Lucky you!! Never ever update to any other oxygen os update. In future oneplus will completely ruin your phone by giving updates. I think security patches are traps so that users are compelled to upgrade & ruin their phone. I will never fall into this trap in future. This is true for other brands also. Apple also intentionally decreases battery life of iPhone but people only see that they are giving updates to a 6 year old phone!! If you do speed test then you will come to know that older software always gives you the best performance & battery life.

I think you're right that 10.3.7 might have been removed because of the messaging app problems, I was fortunate I use Signal Private Messenger so I had/have no messaging issues. I think with a number of OnePlus's bad apps you have to replace them with a better app (OnePlus Gallery is another example of a bad app-le. There are many better Gallery apps to choose from). Personality, I've never been a fan of the OnePlus Launcher: Nova Launcher is much better. Bad apps; even if it's a OnePlus app, get that crap off your phone!

The issue can be easily sorted out by deleting OnePlus message app's app data from its settings. So the OS was the best by far

Left many feedbacks for oneplus developers to either fix all the bad things with OS 11 or just give us an option to get latest security updates on 10.3.7. I don't think they'll do either but worth a try

Yes, it would be great to be able to decide which Oxygen update we like and then choose to only update the security patches as they become available, but that would be too good to be true. 😎 👍

    Hi All

I have an OP7 since it came out, still running Android 9.5.8 GM57BA! I was thinking of updating the software to the latest 10.0.11 GM57BA.

Is it worth it? heard android 10 has bad battery drain.

As of 09-18-2021 I'm still on 10.3.7and everything is working great.
    .
How can you downgrade to 10.3.7? If I were doing it I would first find the 10.3.7 global/India file, then downgrade my phone back down to Android 9, then upgrade to Android 10,then upgrade to OOS 10.3.7.

Thank you so much, I sucessfully downgrade to 10.3.7. I just have one problem with the whataspp not displayed proper notifications.

I cleared the data and even deactivated the app (since is not possible to uninstalling) and also I installed google messages and still I'm not receiving notifications from whatsapp. The SMS messages I receive properly with the notification with sound.
In the whatsapp notification settings, it's all good.

Update: I manage to wipe the system and desativate first the oneplus message app and and install google message but I still have the message bug where doesn't appear the message content after the first message on whatsapp. It appears: X messages from Y chats instead of the message text.

Update 2: It stoped to appear notifications after restarting the phone.

my whatsapp and message notifications are working fine. I'm not facing any of these issues. can you check your notification settings and make sure everything appropriate is active and with the messages app I've turned on that AI thing in messages app which sorts the messages out. have you?

do check if your whatsapp's battery settings are set to intelligent control. in case you're still not receiving notifications set it to do not optimise

I have the oneplus 7, I'm not seeing the AI thing on the messages app.
But on the whatsapp you can see the text on the ambient display of all the texts? After the first, it appears "2 messages".

try installing OS 10.3.8 then. must have been a software issue. my OP 7 pro is running fine without giving me any problems with 10.3.7

    OnePlus 7 Pro 10.3.7 😎👍

I've been stuck on OOS 10.3.7 for a while now, works great. I'd hoped to have been enjoying Android 11 by now, but the reality is OnePlus OOS 11 is and has been crap from the beginning. Funny thing, even OnePlus OOS 10 was crap up until OOS 10.3.7, throw on 10.3.8 on and you're back to OnePlus OOS crap. That's a whole lot of ( one year of waiting) disappointment. My next phone will be something other than a OnePlus.
