    Hi everyone,

I just bought a One Plus 9 and I was testing the camera shooting some picture and comparing them to previous phone: a One Plus 5T.

I noticed that, beside an overall better quality image, the One Plus 9's white balance is extremely cold if compared to reality. Paradoxically, the One Plus 5T is way better in that sense, and with better I mean much closer to the reality.

I'll leave you some pictures as example. Those lights are basically yellow 😅 I swear!

Anyone know a way to make it better? There will be a software update? Am I the only who has noticed this thing?

    Thanks for the attention!

    Found this (older) thread.
You can check out this thread to see if some of the tips can help you improve it.
If you don't see any changes you can always send a bug report about it, along with some photo samples, here
I have the 9 myself but i'm no photographer and don't know much about white balance and all those things. I'm just happy if i can take a good picture.🙂

Thanks Aaron, I'll have a look at your post, hopefully it will help me.

The point is that I think One Plus 9 actually takes good photos, they're just too "cold" compared to the reality. I don't know if it's a matter of style that One Plus want to have for their new phones or if it's just something that has to be fixed. I think a simple software update might solve the problem.

With the 9 series it's more about improving the color tuning (with that Hasselblad partnership) compared to previous models, at least in my opinion. I'll upload 2 photos, 1 from my 8 pro and one from the 9, both have the same main sensors, to give you an idea how it was on last years models (though it's the pro variant, not the vanilla 8).
    This is from the 9

It was a bright sunny day and the 9, although it may appear a bit cooler, does look the best in my opinion.
