Do we invite a person randomly? Do we invite a person looking at his needs? Do we invite a person based on Forum level? Do we invite a person based on when he/she has joined?

I feel We invite a person based on his needs. Also invite a person who would promote OnePlus One. Market is so competitive these days that there is a new phone within every 2 months. If OnePlus has to grow, through invites Many OPOs have to be sold before any new phone comes in the market. Correct my views if I am wrong!

Well I hope One plus will earn enough money to keep growing and work on the next smartphone... Wondering how they get the money because it's difficult to buy the OPO at the moment...

Thats right! Even I was wondering about the same thing! They should first get money to start mass production!

It's not really a big problem for them, because they release invites on availability. Basically you can't sell a phone you don't have.

They're probably doing pull manufacturing, doing batches as they release invites, so they've sold complete batches each time before they even start making them.

This way they have way less overhead and costs associated with stockpiling inventory.

I'm hoping for an invite and seeing the market become open again. This knox bootloader thing with network loaded bloat apps locked on the phone is horrible.

This would increase the cost of the phone. The whole point is to do to order manufacturing on only what they've sold, it's another cost cutting measure.

A big killer of growth is out of controlled growth, invites help gauge demand.

    I invite a person based on :
    1) A human
    2) Not going to sell it on eBay
    3) Not going to sell it here/any other place
    4) If he/she not going to use it, share it out

Agreed! Slow progress for the company is good, make only what they can. But external factors like market competition needs to be kept in mind while doing so. Taking it too slow could also hurt their market share!
