Don't remember and can't find it (so it didn't happen) ;) but if you look at The Second Album: The Untold Story Behind the OnePlus 2 Launch you get the feeling of how bad the phone was in relation to the OS.

I have the OnePlus 2 and use it as a daily driver. I love it. I had bought it when the invite system was still a thing and it is 2 years and a month old now. And i am happy that even after so much time , when i take it out of my pocket and unlock it , use it to call , play games etc It still delivers me the same experience as it did 2 years ago. I have friends who use Samsungs , Motorola's, Experias and iphones and i am proud to say that there devices lag today . I was satisfied with the stock rom of the phone and i think that the stock lollipop was best in terms of SOT and performance. When OnePlus decided to remove MAX audio in the marshmallow update then i decided to install a custom rom on my device to install the Viper and carry on. That time was hectic because the custom roms were in betas , didn't give some small features that were present in the stock rom and also company released updates Monthly and i had to try them out too so i just sticked to using the Oxygen OS and kept it rooted until its last update of 3.5.9 . After the company said that they will not update to nougat i sticked to custom roms permanently. I have noticed that despite being a SD810 defamed frying pan that our device is, the device only over-heated with the marshmallow stock rom reaching upto 49°. I have experienced no abnormal over-heating of the device on custom roms even when playing a game like modern combat 5 and then charging it at the same time (but not always) barely crossing 38°. And i think that heat is what caused the rapid battery depletion. The type of season in which we use our phone was also a factor as it has a metal frame. So in summer it was natural for the device to be at a 34° temp normal at idle and going as low as 12° normal idle in winters. It is quite obvious to assume that battery life is something which will keep on degrading as our phones age , i have used this phone in all ways from from 800mhz for some minites to full 1.8 ghz core at 100% for hours. And i am proud to say that my phone is still alive and has no issues. I get a decent one day battery life after a normal usage which involves playing not so resource hungry game like clash of clans and going through diffrent normal apps of daily routine. Overall OnePlus says it itself that OnePlus 2 was a failure , and i always think that why they keep on forgetting OnePlus X. But as far as I am concerned, I am satisfied with my Device and it is still getting the job done. Thankyou OnePlus and the developers of the custom roms who gave me this experience.

I just bought one. I had the One now the 2 and I'm just going to keep going up because I want to try them all. So far the only gripe is that it's pretty fat. Tried the roms, now I'm testing Oxygen and it's not that bad.

I'm still using it on OOS, however, I tried many custom roms, all are great except for network drop. I wish I could find a solution to solve this network drop so the phone can work for at leat two more years.

I am still using OP2 on OxygenOS. Sometimes it is slow because of the limping battery, but it is also normal for other phones.
