I believe it's a hardware issue. As far as I'm aware, only official service centres can help you enable this (requires a factory reset)

Its a same DRM licensing Issue like POCO F1, Oneplus 3/3t is Not Having L1 Certificate ( Which needs to Play 1080p Videos in Video Streaming Services like Amazon Prime, Netflix Apps etc.. ), It's Having L3 Certification Through Which u can Stream Videos Only in 540p Quality..

U can Check & Compare this urself also Btw Oneplus 3/3t & 6 by Installing DrmInfo App in Playstore

    Hope This Helps :)

    What are even talking about?

No, they cannot fix this at any "official service centres".

Back last year, OnePlus offered to install OxygenOS 5.0.5 I believe (which wasn't a public release) which enables 1080p playback on Netflix. This required a factory reset

    Nope, they didn't.

Only the 5/5T received such updates to DRM ~ Widevine patch L1 directly from OnePlus, having to send the device into OP to get updated.

No other OP devices received this update.
