Honestly, because I feel the S5 is overpriced and came with too many features I'm never going to use. I never liked Touchwiz because it's not optimized and runs very slow even on the most powerful hardware. I don't like the feel of the S5 in my hands, and that it's just too expensive for me at this time. Against the Nexus 5, both are similarly priced but the OPO runs on more powerful hardware and has more storage. Sure you can argue that you can get the latest Android on Nexus but I like Cyanogen more than stock and don't think I'm losing much in terms of software.

The main issue I experienced so far with HTC is loads of built in apps/features/widgets/you-name-it that I never used and will never use, though cannot remove. This results in less storage space for apps that I DO need and in irrelevant features that pop up and clutter the screen.

Price/performance ratio is off the roof on the ONE.
    Case closed.
