We are all looking forward to the 6. I am as well.. But I am gonna give Samsung a try this time around, eventhough I hated TouchWiz on my S4 LTE.
- Camera overhype / degeneration:
First off, I want to say that I've (initially) loved every camera on my Oneplus phones.
But it is obvious that the software updates degenerates the Camera.
Yes I've wiped, factory reset, cleared cache - everything.
It doesn't change the fact, that there are remarkable quality differences, between early updates and now, when I browse through my photos.
- Copying design of iPhone / Other brands:
The 5 was borderline ... with the current talk of notch and prototype leaks, it's uncanny.
It's not that I don't get, that it will probably be a trend, it's more that I don't want people asking "Is that an iPhone?", instead of the reaction I often had, with the One:
"Wow, what phone is that?"
- Price bump:
Although we don't know if all rumors are true, history shows us, that there will probably be a price bump.
The price difference between the bigger brands are diminishing.. And thus the value-for-money appeal of OnePlus is as well.
Overall, I loved oneplus as a innovative, bang-for-buck market disruptor.
I've had all the phones (One, X, 2, 3, 3T and 5) except the 5T.
But I don't recognize that Oneplus anymore.
I will probably be back with another model in my hands, at x some point..
But for now, maybe it's time to "vote with my wallet" and give other OEMs a chance to win me over, just as I once did with Oneplus.
On the plus - side I can try out betas with my 5,without worrying about bugs. [e]1f601[/e]
