Why one plus X has poor performance (personal opinion)

I dunno about the rest of you who have all three phones, but comparing my OPO, OP2, and OPX side by side, the OPX gets the worst benchmarks, but it's also the most responsive. Tapping, scrolling, and even opening apps is faster than my OP2. Obviously, it doesn't get the same performance in games and such, but for daily usage, I find the OPX to be superior in performance.

Or maybe my OP2 is just a dud.

They would have used a cheaper chipset (410 comes to mind, it performs well enough and is the best chipset qualcomm managed to produce this year. Screw the 810 and the 615)

It's a software problem, it can be easily fixed. And the problem with the 810 is that Qualcomm dropped the ball, they botched the chipset while everyone still ordered it.

The 801 is still a good Cpu. If you root and flash bluspark kernel, download a kernel tweaker and set gpu to max and Cpu to max or something other than default it runs games well. Nothing wrong with Cpu.

Guys, my OPX is even heating while i'm running some non-intensive apps. Is this normal? I'm currently on 2.1.3.

You're crazy. I have all 3 phones they have put out to date and the OPO is clearly not as snappy as the OP2

Just got zenfone 2 laser for my dad,, and it clearly performs a lot smoother than my oneplus x.. It has snapdragon 615 chipset coupled with 3gb ram.. Videos, games, multitasking of zenfone beats oneplus x..

U must have some faulty software or something cuz I have used both and my OPO wiped the floor with the OP2. This is probably because of poor optimization of oxygen os though

The reason is completely down to cpu governor. The default is interactive. Switching it to on demand completely fixes the issue in games. There is no lag. Nothing to do with gpu settings. It is down to cpu.

My 2 outperforms the 1 in every way except battery, the X lags behind both of them from my experience.

How much is a load of twaddle exactly?
If I have a pound of twaddle, what percentage of a load of twaddle would that be?
How much twaddle could a wood chuck twaddle if a wood chuck could twaddle twaddle?

801 is probably the most stable and predictable SoC at this time, but 810 will outperform 801 in most benchmark tests. There are also other factors that come to play when it comes to performance, but OP won't purposely make OPX slower to destroy its own name when people compare it with OPO (2014 flagship on Cyanogen), and the ever increasing competitor phones.

because 810 is hot;),and thinner and smaller battery is may not adequate

Yeah, hell they could have lowered the price even more then and appeased anyone that really wanted a 64 bit chipset in a cheaper OP phone. Or they could have gone with a Helio X10 since that is pretty cheap too. Although I could see development possibly being a problem since MTK phone generally don't get a ton of development.
