Man RAM is the type of thing you never know you need until you don't have enough. I am really happy they have 3 gigs.

i'm using cm11 kitkat on i9300 and 1gb is plenty. but its true that touchwiz probably couldn't handle it mainly because of all the bloat.

They say you can have too much of a good thing.

RAM is the exception that proves the rule.

The limiting factor for phones now a days is not necessarily the SoC but the RAM. Therefore 3gb is a welcomed addition over a 0.1ghz speed bump.

The more RAM it has the faster and more responsive it will be. At least that's the idea.

Right now for most not needed. For android 5 who knows. With the price of RAM why not. Also I think many are going to start using 3gb of ram.

Where else is the cache of the millions of selfies some are going to delete be stored? The ram of course! Who are we going to depend on when we are to careless to close, open applications? The ram of course! If OP ever needs to stand up for their brand, what's one aspect they are going to add to the debate of OP or choosing any mainstream company? The ram of course!

It's necessary for future-proofing. For example, a lot of app makers haven't been making use of the iPhone 5S's 64 bit processor, but it doesn't mean they won't later on down the line.

You really see a difference between phones with 1gb ram and 2gb, will be interesting to see the step to 3.

Probably means that you'll still be using the phone in three years time, or at least someone will, if you've sold it waiting for the oneplus four...
