I have seen a few reviews about this phone and I think it's indeed a great phone, But why exactly is it?

I know, I know, maybe the benchmarks, or the screen or the operative system. But I would like to know a more deep answer, why is this THE ONE to you??

Just want to know to be prepared to totally love this phone when the time comes!

Price and that availability is so low, that what makes it desirable.

You're getting a top of the line quality phone for $350. All other similar phones run from anywhere between $600-$800.

It's flagship specifications with a cheap price tag. If OnePlus went public it would have heavy buyers

I wonder why it does not go public? from my point of view it would be a complete success. Is it not a good business to go to full mass scale production? (Or having it limited to few quantities actually makes it more desirable?)

Because CyanogenMod and everyone associated with them, worked hard to deliver a great phone

For me the reason is a supported Cyanogenmod which I think will enable me to keep private conversations private and lets me configure the phone the way I like. I actually think the 5.5 screen is a bit large, but maybe the camera and the screen will lead me to explore new use-cases.
Second reason is, that the team creates an atmosphere of involvement where I get the impression that we, the users, are important and not the cattle in some business case.
