Does OnePlus 7 has Widevine L1 certificate?
Even OnePlus 6t doesn't has that certificate

You sure about that ? OnePlus 6 and 6t both are widevine L1 certified. You should have searched instead of creating a redundant thread.

I have been streaming hd content on my op 6 for nearly a year now. Check if your cousin is subscribed to the packs that actually support hd because the base pack doesn't support hd streaming.

Full HD? Because I hadn't been able to get it.

Although, you know what, nevermind. I'm on T-Mobile. That's why. Their unlimited video streaming maxes it out at 480P

if you used drminfo (assuming your phone's bootloader is still locked) the OnePlus 6t is L1 certified. Netflix don't use widevine so that's why it doesn't play in HD. This year OP partnered with Netflix so I'm assuming it will be fixed.

Simple answer to your question: YES.
For the 6t situation, you can download DRM Info by Android Fung at the play store and check.
