WIFI connected but no Internet

  1. RebeccaMc Cupcake Jan 21, 2018

    RebeccaMc, Jan 21, 2018 :
Since yesterday I have been unable to connect WiFi.
I have tried on two separate networks, both of which I have been able to connect to before. And at the time of trying, other devices were connected to the WiFi so it wasn't not a problem with the signal.
I have tried the following :
Turning the routers on and off
Turning my phone on and off
Turning router and phone off for 15 mins then turning back on
Turning my phone to airplane mode then trying to connect to the wifi
Forgetting the network and re-entering password
    Resetting network settings
    Rebooting Phone in safe mode

Nothing happened to the phone, it was fine yesterday morning. I don't have a large enough data package to not use WiFi! Any suggestions short of a factory reset gratefully recieved.

I'm on a Oneplus 3t. Oxygen version 5.0.1 android version 8.0.0. In case this helps

you should try to clear the cache of the phone and check again

Follow the steps to clear cache of One plus without wiping data:
    1. First of all turn off your phone. and get into recovery menu.
    2. Now, to get into recovery menu. Press Volume Down + Power Button. And keep on holding the buttons till you get into recovery menu.
    3. Select Language.
    4. Use volume buttons to navigate to Clear Cache/Data. and use power button to select this option.
    5. Now you will see two separate options, One will clear cache of your OnePlus other one will delete all the data present in your phone.
    6. Select Wipe Cache Option.
    7. Reboot your phone.
That’s all on how to clear cache partition of onePlus without wiping any data present in your phone.

    1) Forget the wifi network
    2) clean the phone cache
    3) add the network again.

If the issue still persists then you might have to go to the service center

Then it might be a bug if more people are faceing the same problem. If that is the case, then i am afraid that you will have to wait for the bug fix update

If it was a hardware problem, it would have never worked. WiFi was working just fine a few days back. I think there is some critical bug.

I got a reply from Bug Hunter Team of OnePlus & I shared the log details of WiFi along with company & model number of router.
Will keep you updated with whatever response I get from the team.

Same issue for the OnePlus 6T. But it is only one specific WiFi network that gives me this issue.
Turning off Adaptive Battery, and having Smart WiFi switcher and Wifi scanning off does not help.

Go to your system settings and search for "reset", one of the options is reset wifi/bluetooth...that should fix the issue...I had a similar problem last week after using the hotspot

Same for me. One Plus 6 after the 9.0.3 update.

Internet works with mobile data but not on wifi.

Of the two solutions offered above (reset/clear cache, and reboot router and phone) neither has worked

I'm having the same issue every day, since the update to 9.0.3. on on oneplus 6. I forget the wifi network, reboot and wipe cache; then reconnect to wifi and the internet works for a bit, but then stops again at some point the next day.
