    n1vlek, Feb 12, 2019 at 12:38 AM :
This happens to my friend, sister and me. Whenever I get out of wifi's reach out home or work, apps (such as Wechat, Facebook Messenger, Google Map, Waze) is having no internet connection. This was noticed by my friend first. I asked my sister and she said her fb messenger was the same. I tried mines and the same happened. This IS a software problem. Have anyone fix this before?

Resetting network and turning off doesn't work.
Turning on airplane mode doesn't work.

If I waited 10+ minutes, connections back, but sometimes you will miss something whether your going on a date or not. Maybe someone canceled the date with you as you have no connection.

I've never had any issues with this, but do you have developer options enabled? If so, try switching on "mobile data always active" and see if it helps. And what about "turn-on Wi-Fi automatically" & "smart Wi-Fi switcher" in Wi-Fi preferences?

Are you all using the same carrier service? Could be an issue with the SIM not switching over quick enough. If not then sorry, I'm out of ideas. Again, I have never personally had this issue, however I don't use any of those apps you had the problems with either.

I use T-Mobile, so I dunno. Never once experienced this. Mint could be the problem though, possibly. Same network towers, but they're prioritized differently. Maybe contact Mint and see what they have to say and/or try new SIM's.

I have the same issue...leaving home it takes a good 3 or 4 minutes to get 4g connection :( thought it was a issue with cell tower in my neighborhood until I realized coming home I have service in the same area.. it's just when I leave wifi..

Friend is using Tmobile and is experiencing the same problem so can't be network. I doubt this is a defective thing because after 10 to 15 minutes network connection is restored. BTW after switch from wifi to LTE, Chrome still works. Not all apps have this problem. My friend uninstalled wechat and still suffered this problem.

If Chrome still works and all other apps aren't affected, isn't it possible that it's app specific and those apps are the problem? If Chrome works and most others, then you still have a connection...

I'm out of ideas, sorry guys. I'd try to reproduce the problem on my device, but I can't. Unless a ton of other people start complaining about this (and I haven't seen many complaints), I'd still say try a new SIM. May help, may not but it's an easy thing to try especeif you've tried the things I listed above and also made sure it's not app specific. Good luck.
