WifiCalling and VoLTE : Who has it, who doesn't?

    777SAO , May 22, 2019 :
I had in issue once with VoLTE and WifiCalling on my 6T. It was a ping pong game between my carrier (Swisscom - Switzerland) and OnePlus.

OnePlus used to tell me the phone (6T) needed to be configured on the Swisscom carrier side as authorized to use VoLTE and WifiCalling.

Swisscom used to tell me OnePlus needs to enable Swisscom in their phone. Due to that issue I sold my 6T as i needed to be able to put on WifiCalling at home due to poor cellular signal.

I remember trying to enable it via #800* but it did not even work.

Quoting the following article (which might be of interest to some AT&T users) https://www.onetechstop.net/2018/12...wifi-calling-on-a-oneplus-6t-on-atts-network/

"The devices normally have to be certified for that network to get these seemingly simple features"

Oneplus needs to implement the carrier info into the firmware to be able to connect

I'm curious to know which new owners of this great phone can enable (or not) These two simple functions. So please post is :

    - Yes you have both options
    - You only have one option (and which one)
    - Which carrier you are on

    !!! EDIT/UPDATE : I might have found the solution:

    Telekom (T-Mobile) Germany:
    • VoLTE: working
    • VoWifi: working
Downside (OnePlus 7 Pro running on 9.5.4):
Switching between VoLTE and VoWifi obviously requires a reboot and sometimes when both options are marked as active while being connected via local Wifi the option "VoLTE" is shown!?

I contacted OnePlus support and they told me the 7 Pro is compatible with Verizon's wifi calling. However, I tried contacting Verizon multiple times and Verizon kept saying they have it enabled on their side, while OnePlus support kept telling me it is on Verizon to enable it. My phone still does not have the Wifi calling option in settings.

    typical ping pong issue..
The truth is OnePlus needs to enable it within their firmware so the phone can connect to the carriers IMS. Nothing else..

I'm on Swisscom , OP7Pro, no VoLTE or WifiCalling. I guess i'll have to send the phone back... as i mentioned earlier I need wificalling due to poor signal in my area

    This is ridiculous
