    Hi all oneplus users,

I wanna flash stock rom from offical site so I flashed stock recovery. But I wondered that if I flash stock rom from stock recovery, it will erase my internal storage like photos, songs, documents etc. or only app data?

    Thanks

Nothing personal data will deleted (if you are on stable version,
if you are moving from beta to stable than yes you have to do so ),
But it's always good to have backup of important data, in case anything wrong happened :)

Thanks your quick reply. I was erased all system and other partition like boot, efs etc. from twrp and then flashed stock rom but it gives errors so that i flashed stock recovery. But I need to reinstall twrp and then backup my data in case of something goes wrong and it will be bad.

Even if I try to flash stock recovery it fails because of /vendor partition (I think something related to Project Treble) so I restored my backup for now because I think it requires using a tool (something like this tool (axon-7 devices but not sure it works on this phone) ) to repartition of internal memory to get /vendor partiton. I also updated the updater-script from the zip to bypass security check like comment out first three lines and abort statement but it stuck on Logo.

So now if you have a solution without this I wanna try it out.

    Thanks for your help.

I tried this but it doesn't read internal storage so that I flashed older version of stock rom and finally nougat version has been boot but it says your phone is decrypted and it forces to use encrypted userdata partiton to use stock rom. After that I format the userdata partition and then i flashed all ota from phone via system updates. Finally I boot twrp one time from "fastboot boot method" to install Magisk and now everything is OK. Stock recovery, OTA is available and root access granted.

    Thanks for your helps.
