I don't know- It's hard to get a sense of how popular the phone was. While OnePlus doesn't (yet) have the brand recognition that the bigger OEMs have, it's not a bad phone. While some people in the forums did want a smaller phone, most of us are power users who want a more powerful phone oth a bigger screen. Plus, the controversy surrounding the X's LTE connectivity is a big part of the reason why the phone wasn't so successful in the west.

This thread is created in the wrong section.
It's more a tech or community chat thread.

I hope so, in my opinion 5.5 inch is too much for a smartphone.
The OnePlus X is a really nice phone but it needed a better CPU and a fingerprint sensor to be the right one. I would buy it 100 times with these improvements, even with the same price of the OnePlus 2.

I would've bought Oneplus X if they didn't gimp the processor and remove 5ghz WiFi support

I think OP may not be returning to the 5 inch phones considering that the OP2 is 5.5 inch and is newer than the older models. It may seem so that the OP3 may also be 5.5 inches as well.

The X version always follows the flagship as a mini version. The opx was a cross between the OPO and OP2, so they'll probably bring out a mini OP3 as there's a market for 5" phones. OP isn't just focused on catering to power users on the forum but will be looking widen its market

Always? So far it happened just once and I wouldn't dare to make a rule out of it. But I really would love a successor with some more features (i.e. faster WLAN, fingerprint sensor and especially a better camera) and a similar design (incl. ceramics). But this time I hope for a much improved software experience. OxygenOS on the X was and still is a letdown.

I hope so... 5" AMOLED, 1080p, Snapdragon 808, bands 12 and 17, 5Ghz wifi, quick charge, maybe a fingerprint scanner... heck they can recycle the design since it was already a premium build. Did I miss anything?
