With the 6T running Pie, do I need a cleaner app?

What's the best way to get rid of junk on my new phone? I've heard that some cleaners do more harm than good. And, they can mess with the battery optimization on the OnePlus. Thoughts? Thanks!

You should never use a cleaner app. They all do the same thing, constantly killing your background apps which is a problem because they keep opening again by themselves and will drain your battery/performance. Android has had some type of doze feature since marshmallow and will do its own thing, killing apps that have been inactive for too long. You can get rid of junk yourself by clearing cache in the settings.

If you think the app is junk , just uninstall it. .

Applications like clean master itself consumes more RAM than any other app. Since RAM management on one plus is perfect so no need of such kind of application..
